OUR STRATEGIC ALLIANCES -OUR STRENGTH
In today’s world, education without industry input and exposure is incomplete, no matter the quality of textbooks. At MU, we are constantly increasing the industrial exposure quotient of our curriculum.
MU's tie-up with Educomp, one of Asia's largest education companies, is geared towards accelerating the use of technology in the delivery of education. In addition, the tie-up will bring to MU students a much broader industry interface, which will include regular interaction with industry leaders on and off-campus. The relationship has already boosted the student training programs at MU, bringing focus to equipping students with skills that will make them a preferred target for industry.
The MoU with Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad (MICA) is intended to help our Journalism and Mass Communication students get exposure to the curricula, academic tools, faculty and students of the country’s premier mass communication. Efforts are underway to have this understanding translate into an even closer partnership.
Similarly, the understanding with the Institute of Great Lakes Institute of Energy Management & Research (GLIEMR), Gurgaon will expose MU students to aspects of energy management, a key skill in tomorrow's economy. The relationship will involve faculty trainings, seminars, joint projects and specific course modules to add to MU's core programs.
Other MoUs include one with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, an organization which has, over the past two decades, set dozens of top entrepreneurs on the road to success. Given a student community brimming with new ideas in business and practical research, MU will provide, via EDI, the best possible gateway to actuate dreams whose seeds are sown in front of us.
In Dec. 2010, Mrs. Judy MacDonald, Director International Affairs, Vanier College (Quebec), Canada visited Mangalayatan University, formalizing and signing an MoU between the two institutions. Vanier College is an English Language Public College, the third largest of Quebec’s public college system.
It offers a variety of credit courses and programs with flexible schedules. Vanier College will launch its premier project "International Summer School for Jain Studies" on 10th June, 2012. Mangalayatan, as a University established in the Jain tradition, will partner with Vanier College in building the curriculum for the program and serving as a center for instruction.
Over the next year, MU is looking to launch courses in tandem with these institutes, taking advantage of their experienced faculty and curriculum developed over years of industry interaction.
