The Institute of Engineering & Technology of Mangalayatan University is one of the top engineering colleges in India. This northern India engineering college is one of the largest technological institutes and is located in Aligarh near Delhi providing world class education in the related thrust areas and offers various engineering courses in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer science, electrical engineering as well as integrated dual degree programs.

The aim is to encourage student-centered learning rather than the teacher-centric approach as the former is more effective and fruitful. The Institute fosters industry-institute interaction, self-employment based initiatives and deployment of appropriate technology paradigms for given tasks in the project work which is the integral part of true engineering education.

The focus of the Institute is to synchronize engineering curricula in consonance with the emerging needs and keep the students abreast of the technological developments of modern times to make graduates of the Institute active members of the knowledge society. Value added bouquets of courses are an additional attraction. Professor Saurabh Basu has an extensive teaching experience of 44 years with incredible expertise in his domain of specialization. He joined teaching profession as Lecturer in Electrical Engineering Department of IIT Roorkee. Later on he joined AMU as Reader & then became Professor. He was Chairman of Electrical Engg. Department for three years and was Dean, faculty of Engineering, AMU for two years. He had been to Libya on foreign assignment, where he worked as an Associate Professor in Military Engineering Academy, Tajoura for about five years.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronic & Communication Engg. runs four year course for the award of B.Tech. Degree.

Department puts extra emphasis on CAD-based designing during laboratory classes.

Various advanced level labs are being developed.

Department Of Computer Science & Information Technology

Computer Science and Information Technology Department is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories with licensed software. It has qualified faculty members headed by an eminent professor.

The courses are benchmarked with premier institutions of India and abroad to cater to the needs of the industry.

The department has initiated the process to become channel partners of some of the big software giants like IBM, Oracle and Microsoft, to name a few.

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engg. runs a four year course for the award of B. Tech. Degree.  

Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department consists of qualified faculty members. It caters to the needs of graphics studies, manufacturing processes, engineering mechanics and workshop practices to all the students of B. Tech. admitted to the University. The workshop has all necessary facilities for training of 60 students at a time, while the capacity of Engineering Graphics Lab is for 150 students.

The Engineering Graphics Lab is fully equipped with all the required instruments.

Department of Physics

The Department of Physics caters to the needs of teaching compulsory Physics to all the students of Engineering admitted to this university in B. Tech. course. The Physics laboratories are very well equipped and the Department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The technical staff is also well trained and qualified.

Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry is imparting excellent teaching in Chemistry as well as in environment studies to the students of B. Tech to fulfill their requirements of achieving better goal The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty whose rutilant academic career leave an indelible impression upon their taught. It has well equipped and well ventilated laboratory with profuse excess of light. The facilities for research work are being developed.
