Admissions to professional courses in Mangalayatan University are based on Entrance Examinations conducted by the University (National and Regional) or by Central/State government agencies. Each of these has a specified quota of intake. Seats left vacant in one quota may be filled by admissions in other quotas. Admissions to all other courses are based on the merit in the qualifying examination.

The examination will be both online and offline. The student can choose any one of them. 30% of all seats in the courses listed above will be filled via the National Entrance Examination. The medium of the exam will be English.
The MU Regional Entrance Examination will be conducted in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh. The examination will be both online and offline. The student can choose any one of them. 30% of all seats in the courses listed in the above “Applicable Courses for FORM-A” section will be filled via the Regional Entrance Examination. The medium of the exam will be English.
The First Counselling for candidates applying for admission through National Entrance Exam or Regional Entrance Exam will be held at the university on 6th & 7th August, 2018 and 14th & 15th August, 2018 respectively. Selected candidates will receive an official Counselling Invitation Letter containing the date, time & venue of counselling, the list of documents and the fee amount to be brought for admission confirmation. This letter will be sent via post and e-mail. This information will also be available online along with the result of the National Entrance Exam & Regional Entrance Exam. If required, the university may conduct another round of counselling for the remaining candidates.
Note- Candidates who miss both the entrance exams or apply after the exam dates should fill up Form A. The university may decide to conduct a further entrance exam at a later date at the university campus.

All selected candidates who apply before 15th June 2015 will receive their counselling letters with all relevant information latest by 30th July 2018. For candidates applying after 15th June 2018, counselling letters will be dispatched within one week of receiving the application, depending on the availability of seats in the program applied for. The First Counselling for these candidates will be held at the university on 27th and 28th July, 2018. Selected candidates will receive an official Counselling Invitation Letter containing the date, time & venue of counselling, the list of documents and the fee amount to be brought for admission confirmation. MU admits students to all its Ph.D. programs twice in a year. The minimum requirement is 55% marks in the relevant Masters’ program. Applications may be submitted throughout the year.

MU conducts two entrance exams every year for its Ph.D. program, once in June-July and again in December-January. Candidates may choose to appear in either session. The list of successful candidates will be put up on the website within 2 weeks of the completion of the exam. The procedure for registration for Ph.D. after passing the entrance exam is explained in the Ph.D. regulations available on the website.

In case you have downloaded the form from the website, you must submit the form along with a cheque/demand draft of Rs. 5000 in favour of “Mangalayatan University” payable at Aligarh, UP. If you are filling the form online, you can pay the application fee of Rs. 5000 online. You will be guided through the payment process while filling up the form online. Those unable to pay online may send a print-out of the submission acknowledgement along with a cheque/demand draft of Rs. 5000 in favour of “Mangalayatan University” payable at Aligarh, UP.
