On May 19, 2019, this visionary university celebrated its 7th grand convocation on its Aligarh campus spread over 70 acres surrounded by peaceful environment and soothing greenery. During this glamorous ceremony, degrees were granted to a total of 742 students, including gold medals to 35 meritorious students, and 3 Ph.D. degrees. A one-minute mute tribute was also paid solemnly to its former chancellor, Shri Gopal Das Neeraj.Two honorary D.Lit. degrees were also given to Dr. Kumar Vishwas, and Tarik-al-Gurg (the executive authority of Dubai Care).
Addressing the convocation ceremony, honorable Chief Guest Dr. Sahasrabuddhe said that India still has some constraints and challenges in its higher education sector. Under such situations, through providing both the theoretical knowledge and practical/vocational skills, and promoting creative experiments and innovative research, private universities like Mangalayatan Universitycan certainly improve the current status and momentum of the higher education in the country. The Honorable Visitor, Shri Achyutanand Mishra motivated the students saying that like other countries of the world, India is also progressing fast in the 21st century in the sector of engineering & technology and is going towards the fourth industrial revolution. Hence, it is the right time for the students to see big dreams, keep high aims, and prosper fast. The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. KVSM Krishna presented the annual report along with mentioning some of the notable achievements made by the university. He also said that special efforts are being taken by the university for starting some new employment-supportive courses from the next educational session in the fields of media, fine arts, animation & graphics, digital arts, etc. Also, the journalism & mass communication department of the university has plans to conduct courses in filmmaking, anchoring, film direction, script writing, and advertising & PR. He also informed that the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Pharmacy of the university also have similar plans to start some new ace and prolific courses in their respective disciplines.
