Remarkablevictory for Mangalayatan University equestrians in ‘The Pentagrand’

Win 29 medals, including 12 gold medals

By winning 29 medals, which include 12 gold, 13 silver and 4 bronze, in The Pentagrand in the horse-riding competition organised in Greater Noida, Mangalayatan University students recorded a notablefeat. The captain of the university equestrian team Vaibhav Goyal alone clinched 13 medals, including five golds, and overwhelmed the audience. Another student Amarjeet Singh also won five gold and two silver medals and received plenty of admiration. Girish Kumar secured one gold and two silver, Manvendra Singh won one gold, one silver and one bronze, and Yash Kumar won one silver and one bronze medal.

This huge equestrian competition was organised in Surajpur Civil Lines.The senior superintendent of police Shree Dharmendra Yadav and several senior officers of Border Security Force and Indian Army gave the medals to the winners and encouraged them. Mangalayatan University equestrians have set the university flags flying in many junior level International Tent Pegging competitions organised during The Pentagrand at UP level. This makes Mangalayatan University the first private university to participate in an international equestrian competition and win medals. Mangalayatan University is the first university to establish an equestrian clubin its campus.
