PROFILE ( REGISTRAR )

Commander Manoj K (Retd.) is a distinguished Indian armed forces veteran, academic administrator and operations leader with over 23 years of exemplary service in the Indian Navy. Renowned for his expertise in higher education administration, institutional governance, infrastructure development, Aviation technical management and strategic leadership, he has consistently driven organizational transformation through innovation, discipline and excellence.

As Director of Academic Affairs and Registrar at premier naval higher education institutions, the naval war college, Goa, he led the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, introduced credit-based dual-degree programmes, and developed interdisciplinary postgraduate curricula in collaboration with the centre of excellence in maritime studies at the University of Mumbai. He ensured compliance with statutory bodies and university regulations to strengthen institutional quality and governance.

His extensive experience spans campus administration, human resource management, institutional security, and infrastructure development. He has successfully led multidisciplinary teams of over 2,000 personnel and managed multi-crore infrastructure and Aviation technical projects, ensuring timely execution, regulatory compliance, and sustainable development.

Beyond academia, he served as Director and Member Secretary of the Indian Naval Despatch Foundation, fostering civil-military collaboration and advancing maritime awareness. Academically, he holds an M.Tech. in Aeronautics from CUSAT, an MBA in HRM from ALAGAPPA University, a PGDM from JBIMS, and a Business Management Program (HR & Finance) from IIFT, Delhi. His distinguished service in the Indian Navy has been recognized with commendations from the Chief of the Naval Staff and the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, reflecting his commitment to academic excellence, governance, and transformational leadership.

He took over as Registrar on 18 May 2026.
