A 5-year strategic plan 2020-25 of the University was put in place to establish the principles of participation and transparency. Strategic plan is an important tool for any university to manage itself effectively. The planning was done by keeping important mile stones to be achieved during the journey. A top-down approach was followed, where important stakeholders were involved for development of the 5-year strategic plan with the following objectives: To strengthen the infrastructure for research and innovation. To become a leading research University with international recognition and to increase research outcomes and generate more IPRs.

To incubate start-ups and mentor them to become successful business ventures. To continue to be a dynamic and student-friendly campus with Green Buildings (renewable resources/ resource efficient infrastructures) and become a sustainable campus. To provide innovative solutions for industrial and societal needs. To be the preferred destination for PG and Doctoral studies in addition to UG programs and to get more International admission.

To develop more collaborative, interdisciplinary, socially relevant, and industry-sponsored research To bring Medical and Para Medical areas of specialization programs to provide qualified human resources to take care of patient care activities. To have a good Veterinary College. To accomplish the objectives of the five year strategic plan, the University initiated Research and Innovation Development Activities The impact has been seen in Mangalayatan University as it received eight awards in different discipline.

The University got 39 patents, the faculty of the University published a good number of research papers in Scopus/ UGC care journal, the faculty of the University published more than 200 Books/ Chapters / paper in proceedings etc. The faculty of the university got more than 40 recognitions and Awards. During last five years University received the projects of Rs: 567.37 lac and consultancy of sum of Rs: 592.66 lac.

The University has established Mangalayatan Ayurveda 100 bed hospital with required Laboratories and good infrastructure facilities for treating patients. To support the Ayurveda Hospital a Herbal garden has been developed in the campus. The impact has been that Uttar Pradesh State Government, Directorate of Ayursh and Ministry of AYUSH (NCISM), Government of India accorded approval to conduct UG program (BAMS) with 60 intake capacity for the session 2021-22. For realizing strategic plan the bed capacity of hospital increased from 100 to 350 bed with good infrastructure. School of Nursing under INPS was established with required Laboratories to conduct B.Sc Nursing and GNM Programmes. Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty (UPSMF), UP State Government and Indian Nursing Council (INC) accorded approval to conduct UG program (BSc-Nursing) & GNM with 40 intake capacity in each program for the session 2021-22. University implemented the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), which emphasize development of integrated personality (importance of arts, culture, people management, etc.).
